Do you want to install an Enfeu?
What is an inferno?
(Columbarium for coffins)
An enfeu is a building intended to receive one or more coffins containing the bodies of the deceased. This solution meets the wishes of people who do not wish to be buried or cremated.
Unlike “vaults”, which are dug into the ground, this kind of building (also called “mausoleum” or “crypt”) is characterized by the fact that it is above ground. This makes it particularly suitable for cemeteries with rocky or marshy soils
Concretely, these are individual boxes, in one place, in which the coffins will be placed. Each of these boxes will be closed by a plaque on the front, generally in granite or marble, on which will be affixed the inscriptions, photos, or any other decoration desired by the deceased or his family.
Equipped with drainage and aeration systems, these burial places are increasingly being used in cemeteries.
How to set up an Enfeu?
Once the location has been decided, it is necessary to set up the various channels that will allow the evacuation of gases and liquids resulting from the decomposition of the deceased.
The masonry of the enfeu itself can then be carried out. Interior walls and ceilings will be adapted according to the number of boxes desired.
